About the author
Why SpeakerCleaning exists
SpeakerCleaning started because most people with a muffled speaker only had two choices: poke at it with a pin and risk damage, or pay for a repair they might not even need. The site offers a third option that is free and safe to try first: a sound-based cleaning cycle that runs in your browser.
Jordan builds the free speaker tools on this site and writes the guides that explain what you can try at home before paying for a repair, from clearing lint and dust to testing whether a speaker is really damaged. You can also try our free tools: Fix My Speaker, Water Eject, Speaker Test, iPhone speaker cleaner, earpiece cleaner, frequency tool, headphone test, vibration test and mic test.
Each guide points to the device maker's own guidance where it exists, such as Apple's support pages, and says clearly when a speaker is probably damaged rather than blocked, so you do not waste time on fixes that cannot work.
Guides are reviewed and updated as phones, operating systems and browsers change, so the steps stay accurate.
How the guides are written
Safe, simple and honest about limits
Guides avoid pins, needles and compressed air, and favour soft, non-metal tools and sound-based cleaning.
Short steps, clear warnings and answers to the questions people actually ask before they pay for a repair.
A cleaner fixes blockages, not broken parts. When a repair is the better option, the guide says so.
